- Assisting in the maintenance of
UPGRADE’s online website
- Designing special print projects

| Skills Required: |
- Experience working with Photoshop,
Illustrator, Quark, Dreamweaver, Flash
and similar design/animation programs
- Must have drive for results, a sense
of urgency, and the ability to complete
projects without immediate supervision
- Must be adept at working independently
(and at times) with a moderate level
of ambiguity as indicative in any promotional/advertising
environment

Internship - Personal Assistant |
| We are currently seeking
a Personal Assistant to the Publisher/Editor-In-Chief
of UPGRADE. The ideal candidate must be
extremely proficient in multi-tasking, keeping
several projects and tasks going throughout
a fast-paced day. You must also have the
ability to work well with others and to
professionally represent the Publisher/Editor-In-Chief
at all times. |
| Responsibilities will
include: |
- Will help set up, organize day to
day work flow
- Run errands both personal and business
for the Publisher/Editor-In-Chief
- Coordinates Publisher/Editor-In-Chief’s
daily schedule, including: setting up
appointments, making travel arrangements,
returning calls, arranging meetings,
informing staff and all outside parties
of schedule as needed, etc.
- Initiate and assist with preliminary
research on projects, products/services,
information, ideas, etc.
- Must know how to research using
the internet, phone calling inquiries,
reference researching, etc.
- Assist in planning promotional events
(ex: creating the budget, finding the
vendors and services, invitations, etc.)
- Provides general support to the
staff including: typing correspondence,
retrieving calls from the answering
service and maintaining office supplies,
etc.
- Assist with budget management duties
including- paying bills, assisting with
preparation of expense reports, and
handling of advertising related invoices,
etc.
- Handle bookings- (ex: for photo
shoots- you will book wardrobe, models,
hair, makeup artists, scout locations,
etc.)
- Attend meetings and promotional
events through-out the city with the
Publisher/Editor-In-Chief
- Other duties and responsibilities
as assigned

| Skills Required: |
- You must be internet savvy with
great computer skills
- Requires proficient knowledge of
Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must have excellent written, verbal,
and presentation skills
- Requires excellent research skills-especially
on the internet
- Must possess strong time management,
organizational and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Publisher
and Powerpoint
