The two-day festival features over 15,000 pounds of crawfish delivered fresh from Louisiana and attracts more than 40,000 fans. The 2008 lineup includes acts like Fergie, 3 Doors Down, Gavin DeGraw, T-Pain and a host of others.
A Birmingham tradition entertaining friends with 50 pounds of hot boiled crawfish in their backyard has quickly turned into the charity event of the year raising hundreds of thousands of dollars benefiting such organizations as Camp Smile-A-Mile, the Tanner Center for Multiple Sclerosis and the Birmingham Junior League. This year the Schaeffer Eye Center Crawfish Boil will be an event you do not want to miss with entertainment, food, fun and most of all the opportunity to give back.
We moved right into our meal choices with Jason's recommendations and suggestions. Seasons 52 prides itself on very fresh and healthy menu selections. Nothing on the menu is fried and many of the vegetables for the dishes are grown locally. Jason also mentioned that one of the seafood offerings from the previous month had to be flown in daily via private planes.
